The Oregon Plant Atlas is an on-line resource for displaying distributions of plants
growing without cultivation in Oregon. The Atlas creates maps "on the fly" from data
maintained by the Oregon Flora Project and the Oregon State University Herbarium. To
use the Atlas, simply select the plant species, subspecies, or variety you wish to map.
Options are available for selecting background maps and restricting mapping to a range of
years or observations by a particular person. For details on how the Atlas works and on
using its features, press the Help button just below the Map Options Form button. Visit
www.oregonflora.org
to learn more about the Oregon Plant Atlas Project. To start using the Atlas, press
the Map Options Form button. Enjoy!
Click here if the Map Options Form button fails to appear or if you get an error alert before or
after starting the Atlas.
NOTE:
The Atlas is a Java applet. As such, it works on various platforms. However, at the present time, the Atlas is known to work
best on Windows. Mac and Unix users should expect minor text layout and clipping problems in Atlas forms.
